This app is inspired by Ars Moriendi. In the 1400’s, following the horrors of the black death, writings called “ars moriendi” or “the art of dying well” became extremely popular, containing instructions for how to prepare for inevitable death. In our modern context, the artwork and instructions may seem quite foreign. However, keep in mind that at that time, life expectancy was a fraction of what it is today.

While, thankfully, much has changed since then, death is still an inevitability. As the book by Kate Bowler is so aptly named, there is no cure for being human.

So, what are we to do about this?
